Working with one of the US Marine Corps’ PR firms, Fleishman Hillard, Braun Film was commissioned to produce a short documentary in honor of the Marine Corps’ 50th anniversary of aviation missions. The video focused on a little known operation that occurred early during the Vietnam War, ‘Operation Shufly’, whereby the Marines were charged with initiating a now historic mission in utilizing a small fleet of helicopters to airlift personnel and materials in Soc Trang, Vietnam amongst enemy combatants. Operation Shufly set the stage for all future Marine aviation missions. The documentary was shot at the US Marine Corps museum at Quantico and included interviews with several of the original individuals involved in the mission.
