Non-Profit Video Production
Based in the Washington, DC area, Braun Film & Video, Inc partners with non-profit organizations, associations, and foundations that rely on video production to advance their missions. We help organizations increase awareness, raise funds, influence decision-makers, and connect with key audiences through strategic visual storytelling videos.
With more than 30 years of experience, we understand how nonprofit videos must balance emotion, credibility, and clarity. Our role includes creative development and video production that supports real goals, not just views.
Video Production for Nonprofit Organizations
Nonprofit video production serves many purposes, from education to advocacy to fundraising. We work closely with each nonprofit organization to understand its mission, audience, and growth goals before recommending the right storytelling approach.
Our nonprofit video production services support associations, foundations, and organizations. We help them create content for digital platforms, events, campaigns, and broadcast tools. Each project begins with a strategy and ends with content designed to be used long after delivery.
How Nonprofits Use Video to Achieve Their Goals
Video remains one of the most effective tools for nonprofits because it communicates complex ideas quickly and emotionally, helping organizations create real social impact. We help organizations use video production to support measurable outcomes directly.
Increasing Membership and Visibility
Videos help nonprofits grow membership by showcasing real voices and authentic experiences. We feature leaders, members, and partners to highlight your value across websites, marketing materials, and events. These videos strengthen trust and encourage long-term engagement with your community.
Supporting Advocacy and Policy Efforts
Our advocacy videos communicate positions clearly and credibly. Featuring experts and community voices, they drive awareness, influence policy, and support campaigns on issues like social justice. Many of these are awareness campaign videos designed to resonate with both the public and decision-makers.
Nonprofit Videos to Increase Funding
Fundraising videos build emotional connections and clear calls to action. We feature executives, beneficiaries, and community members to highlight impact. They are also designed to inspire donations across events, online campaigns, and donor outreach.
Explainer Videos for Complex Issues
Many nonprofits discuss topics that require education before action. Our explainer videos clarify complex subjects while keeping the message accurate and engaging. They support internal training, public outreach, grant applications, and ongoing communication with partners and stakeholders.
Event, Conference, and Virtual Event Video Production
Nonprofits often gather their most valuable voices in one place during annual meetings, conferences, and fundraising events. Video production during these moments creates long-term value.
We capture interviews, testimonials, and live presentations at conferences, trade shows, galas, and virtual events. This approach enables us to efficiently collect a large volume of video content that can be repurposed into campaign videos, social media clips, impact reels, and future fundraising materials.
Nonprofit Storytelling Through Testimonials
Testimonial-based videos are central to nonprofit storytelling, using real voices to build trust and humanize complex issues. These videos help viewers connect emotionally and understand the mission from authentic perspectives.
We focus on on-camera testimonials from executives, community members, and industry leaders. This approach highlights real-world impact and ensures your message is delivered in a compelling and memorable way.

TITLE:50th Anniversary
DESCRIPTION: To celebrate their 50th Anniversary, Hudson wanted a short corporate documentary chronicling their founding, history and political import. Utilizing archival, historical and client provided assets (supplemented with stock we researched and licensed), we set out to tell their story. A creative treatment coupled with appropriate music, thorough sound design and carefully vetted/directed narration rounded out the process.
TITLE: Service to America Medal
DESCRIPTION: As part of recognizing the national Service to America Medals (one of the highest honors a civilian federal worker can receive), we’ve been producing short ‘profile’ videos of each winner’s accomplishments for more than the last 10 years. Each year recognizes winners in 7 different categories. The selfless work these civil servants perform on behalf of the U.S. Government and Americans everywhere inspire us every year.
TITLE: Earth Science Week
DESCRIPTION: Produced to promote AGI’s national ‘Earth Science Week’, this video was created to raise awareness to educators as to some of the resources available for them through AGI, the importance of dedicating class time to the subject of earth science, and helping to promote to congressional and corporate sponsorships their involvement in the cause.
CLIENT: Gede Foundation
TITLE: Aids Awareness
DESCRIPTION: Shot by our crew entirely on location in West Africa, this program was used by the Gede Foundation to help recruit funding and partners in an effort to help their efforts to eradicate the AIDS epidemic that has devastated Nigeria.
TITLE: The Partnership
DESCRIPTION: Marketing / Branding video highlighting the importance and value of the work performed by the Partnership for Public Service.
TITLE: Day in the Life
DESCRIPTION: APMA needed a tool to promote their specialty to aspiring young physicians and also educate them as to what podiatrists do. Shot entirely on location in Southern California, we employed multiple crews, cameras and specialty gear (Stedicam, dolly, etc) to impart some production value while still garnering the footage we needed in a very compact schedule. To help convey the level of activity/action attendant with the profession, we used a multi-screen effect in post and scored with an ‘upbeat’ soundtrack.
CLIENT: Association of Public and Land Grant Universities
DESCRIPTION: Issue-driven / Informational video to educate and call to action general audiences and policy makers alike.
