Government Video Production
We Speak “Fed”
If you work for a federal government agency – and in Washington, DC, chances are you do – you likely have a message that needs to reach employees, Congress, or the public. That message might be support training videos, internal communications, Public Service Announcements, or documentation of important events and milestones.
At Braun Film & Video, Inc ., we understand that government audiences are unique. They can be difficult to reach, short on time, or resistant to traditional marketing videos. Knowing this, we approach government video production with clarity, efficiency, and respect for both process and audience expectations.
Our goal is simple: to deliver government videos that communicate clearly, build public trust, and achieve measurable results, without unnecessary red tape.
Government Video Production Company in Washington DC
As longtime producers of commercial and corporate video production , we once shared the common belief that government videos had to be process-heavy, instructional, and low in production value. That perception has changed.
After years as a GSA schedule contract holder, Braun Film & Video has partnered with the federal government and local governments alike, producing professional government videos for agencies including:
- Department of Defense
- Federal Aviation Administration
- Internal Revenue Service
- Department of Education
- Customs and Border Protection
- Homeland Security
- U.S. Department of State
- All branches of the Armed Services
Since receiving our GSA contract, we’ve learned that government decision-makers are increasingly open to creative development that helps their messages stand out while remaining compliant. Our video production services combine industry expertise, strategic thinking, and experienced videography services to ensure each project connects with its intended audience.
All Government Videos Can Be Engaging
Even instructional or compliance-driven content doesn’t have to feel flat. One example involved a State Department project on diplomatic protocol for law enforcement. What began as a traditional talking-head video evolved into an engaging animated piece that delivered the same information more effectively.
With over 30 years of experience in video production across corporate, commercial, and public-sector environments, we apply proven storytelling techniques to government videos. By focusing on audience context, message clarity, and appropriate calls to action, we help agencies create training and instructional videos that educate without losing attention.
Freedom Within Government Video Production
While government communications often operate within stricter guidelines, there is more creative flexibility today than many agencies expect. Increasingly, the federal and local governments are requesting video productions that go beyond the standard institutional format.
This doesn’t mean abandoning professionalism or compliance regulations. Instead, it means thoughtfully applying creative techniques – such as improved camera movement, structured storytelling, or the use of real employees – to enhance engagement. When done correctly, even small creative shifts can make government videos more memorable and effective.
Types of Government Videos We Produce
Braun Film & Video supports a wide range of Government video production needs across agencies and public services. Each format is approached with attention to audience, purpose, and distribution channel.
We regularly produce:
-
Public Service Announcements (PSAs) for television, radio, and social/digital media. These are essentially traditional
- Training videos and instructional videos for internal use and compliance.
- Internal communications videos for employees and leadership.
- Community outreach videos that support public engagement.
- Event videos and coverage of public meetings and news conferences.
- Marketing videos and social campaign content for awareness initiatives.
Our government videos are designed for use across streaming services, local news channels, PEG channels, and social media platforms, ensuring consistent messaging across all outlets.
Personalized Government Video Creation in DC
Sometimes the most effective government videos are the most human. Featuring real agency employees instead of off-camera narrators can dramatically improve engagement and understanding.
Testimonials, interviews, and case-study-style storytelling allow agencies to explain how processes improve efficiency, save time, or support community needs. While this approach may require additional planning, the payoff often includes stronger internal adoption, better training outcomes, and improved public perception.
